Nepo proved better and wiser in the 2nd Candidates event he participated and managed to win it with a dominating lead (1,5 point ahead of the field) .Could he improve his chances in his second WCH match if there will be one ?

In case the World Champion Magnus Carlsen refuses to defend his title ( unlike to happen in my opinion) Ding will get a golden ticket to fight for the title ! Thus his 2nd place in the event has a great value .

Good perf for Nakamura ,who lost the 2nd place on the very last round vs Ding  and good perf as well for Radjabov .

It seems experience proved more valuable than youth ,since Rapport Firouzja and Duda performed under their stregth in the long and demanding event !

Another successful event finished in the Corsican Chess Course .

At beautiful seaside  Porticcio the Corsican Course started with ideal conditions for this summer.

Winner of the event Corsican GM Maurizzi M A will represent the French National team in the forthcoming chess Olympiad at Chennai India !

Congratulations to the organiser and president Akkha Vilaisarn for another successful event and  his efforts to spread chess all over Corsica . The next event at Bastia is under way !

Today 2/7/2 2  started the Corsican Circuit at the city of Ajaccio Corsica

Strong GM&IMs and many participants (140) are at the beautiful island of Corsica to combine chess and vacations ! Ajaccio was said to be founded by mythical hero Ajax and is the birth city of Napoleon !

The elit event of Sharjar Tournament was won on the 29/5/22 by the rising star  GM Abdussattorov N from Uzbekistan .

Another successful event for the  organiser GM Grivas E and the UAE .We thank him for his support !
