The European Individual Championship was successfully organised in Katowice Poland during April, the participation ratio surpassed every expectation reaching the staggering 500 plus number. Still in order to have a more objective and meritocratic result defining the top places and the qualifications places  more rounds will be necessary in the near future.

Huge surprise the victory of the Ukranian IM Dehtiarov R with 9/11

A few  players reached 8,5/11 but missed their chance for top place. 8/11 was necessary in order to reach the qualifications spots for the World Cup this September.

Many strong young Greek parcticipants this year, best results Alexakis D 7,5/11 and Mastrovasilis D 7,5/11 undefeated, Kalogeris I with 7/11 was close to achievening a GM norm
